Rosemary J. Senecal, 84, of Muncie, IN died Wednesday September 17, 2008 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James W. Senecal. She was born on May 3, 1924 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Harry and Verena (Walker) Baker. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1941.
Rosemary retired from Ball State University where she was a secretary in the President's Office for many years. She was a member of the Muncie Quilt Guild and volunteered with RSVP. She enjoyed traveling with husband, Jim, in their motor home. Rosemary always kept herself busy with crafts, sewing, cooking and caring for her family and friends. She was not only a loving wife but also a wonderful mother. She was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosemary was well loved by all who knew her.
Other surviving relatives two daughters, Mary Ann Kuhns (husband: Jack) of Muncie; Rose Marie Burchfield (husband: Charles) of Muncie, IN; six grandchildren, John Kuhns (wife: Melinda) of Greenwood, IN; Diana Martin (husband: Ryan) of Muncie, IN; Christopher Carmichael (wife: Cari) of Fort Wayne, IN; Sarah Carmichael - Miller (husband: Jason) of Louisville, KY; Doug and Dennis Burchfield both of Phoenix, AZ; eleven great-grandchildren, Tyler Kuhns, Courtney and Skyler Abernathy, Kaya and Tala Carmichael, Quinn Miller, Crystal VanHorn, Hunter and Landon Martin, and Jaelynn Soileau. Also surviving are several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday September 22, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Little Red Door. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
