Rosemary June Strauch, 88, of Muncie, died Monday morning, October 14th, 2013 at Liberty Village Health Care. She was born June 27th, 1925 in Muncie, and was the daughter of the late Charlie & Minnie Bell (Shaw) Thorpe.

Rosemary taught elementary school for 36 years in the Muncie area. She loved children and teaching. She was a member of the Agape Fellowship Church in Muncie. Rosemary loved to travel, work crossword puzzles, and read. She was a graduate of Ball State University.

Rosemary is survived by her son Jeffrey Erich Strauch of Greenwood; two granddaughters Elisa Michelle Strauch of Noblesville, and Jaclyn Leigh Fisher (Joe) of Anderson; a brother Ralph Thorpe of Muncie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services for Rosemary will be held Friday, October 18th , 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Dr. Ron Ross of First Baptist Church of Portland officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 17th, 2013 at the funeral home.
