Roxie C. Chambers, 95, of Muncie, IN passed away peacefully on May 31, 2007 at Eagle Creek Health and Rehab Center in Indianapolis. She was born June 3, 1911 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late George Conatser and Mary Jane Conatser.
She enjoyed crocheting. She loved working in the yard with flowers and working with ceramics. She was a member of the Memorial United Baptist Church in Muncie.
Surviving relatives include; three sons, Tommie B. Chambers (wife - Anna L.) of Muncie, Jimmie W. Chambers (wife - Juanita Sue) of Indianapolis, Venbert Chambers of Brownsburg, IN; one daughter, Brenda S. Robbins of Muncie, niece, Audrey White of Jacksonville, FL; 32 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, and several other nieces and nephews. Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Venbert B. Chambers, four sons, two daughters, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson, Michael David Albin.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Jack Anderson officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
