Roxie Louise Riley, 98, of Albany, IN., passed away on August 20, 2019.  She was born on November 19, 1920, 1 of 15 children.

She worked at Ball Brothers Corporation for 30+ years, retiring with them.  She then went on to be the owner and operator of Roxie's Diner on State Roads 67 & 28 for 30 years, also retiring from there.

Roxie was known to many as Nanny.  She was a fierce, independent woman.  She took pride in her work as well as her home.  She was family oriented. Her family will remember her as being amazing.  She was also a wonderful caregiver.

Roxie is survived by her sister, Velma; grandchildren: Kimberly Torres, Traci Gross, Kimberlee Peters, Christopher Stahl, and Rebecca Stahl; great-grandchildren: Christina Hurst, Crystal Hurst, Chelsey Gill, and Jacob Torres; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many wonderful friends.

Roxie was preceded in death by her parents; many siblings; and daughters: Sharon Gross and Linda Stahl.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m., also in the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.gardenviewfuneralhome.com .
