Roy E. McVey, 83, of Dunkirk, Indiana passed away on September 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Roy is survived by his son Steve McVey (wife Moi) of Lake Wales, FL; daughters Rhonda Fields of Dunkirk, IN and Theresa Hill (husband Sidney) of Muncie, IN; sisters Naomi Cook of Muncie, IN: brother Bob McVey (wife Dawn); 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Linda L. McVey; parents Robert and Vernie McVey; brothers Bennie McVey and Johnnie McVey; sisters Sarah Hovis and Myrtle Stanford.

Roy was a hardworking man who retired from Indiana Glass after 40+ years and tended to the family farm that he loved dearly. His love of God led him to providing ministry in local nursing homes and over 100 volunteer hours at Marion General Hospital. He was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

Family will have visitation on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM with funeral service starting at 2:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303. Burial will follow the service at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
