Roy E. Miller, age 89, of Muncie, passed away August 30, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. He was born May 4, 1922 in Geneva, IN to Glen J. And Jennie (Meyer) Miller. He was a US Army veteran of WWII from 1942 until 1946. He was the owner of Miller Machine Works and later was a maintenance mechanic at Westinghouse until his retirement.
He married Grace Burnett on November 23, 1946 and she survives him along with their sons, Ralph Edward (wife Wyla) and Ronnie Lee (wife Kylene) Miller, all of Tulia,TX; sister Mary Nadine Colechia of North Stonington CT; five granddaughters, twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with burial and military honors to follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
