Rozelle B. Smith, 84, of Muncie, IN, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Morrison Woods Health Campus. She was born on September 28, 1925 in Algood, TN to the late Ernest and Sarah Mae (Qualls) Burton. On April 23, 1940, Rozelle married the love of her life, William C. Smith in Cookeville, TN. They then moved to Muncie in 1949.
Rozelle was a housewife. She enjoyed traveling in her camper and riding her appaloosa horses. She was also a member of North Delaware Baptist Church.
Rozelle is survived by her 3 loving children: Richard Smith (wife, Donna); Linda Simmons (husband, Joe); and William C. Smith, Jr. (wife, Carolyn); 5 grandchildren: Scott; Eldrenda; Doug; Shane; and Angie; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Lorelle and Ann.
Rozelle was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 58 years, William C. Smith, Sr.; and daughter Faye Riddle.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Marlow officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
