Obituary

Russell Taylor, 91, of Muncie passed away on Saturday, September 16,
2017. He was born on May 10, 1926 in Sycamore, Illinois.
Russell served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he was a veteran of World War II. Russell and his family moved to Muncie in 1956 where he owned and operated Pre-Cast & Iron Company on North Broadway for over thirty years until his retirement. Russell was an avid Ball State Cardinal fan and enjoyed traveling long distances in support of the teams to various tournaments and bowl games over the past several decades. During his lifetime Russell also enjoyed participating in numerous bowling leagues around Muncie for many years.
Russell is survived by Evelyn (Colby), his loving wife of seventy-one years. Survivors include his son Charles (Pat) of Dayton, Ohio, son Terry of Muncie, son Randy (Lesley) of Noblesville and daughter Kristy Eller (John) of Yorktown, as well as his brother Gerald of Sycamore, Illinois and his sister Mary Minnihan of New Port Richey, Florida, along with 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3 in Muncie, on Saturday, September 23rd at 2:00PM. Friends may call from 12:00 noon on Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be sent to The Parkinson''s Awareness Association, P.O. Box 19575 Indianapolis IN 46219, in Russell''s honor.
