Ruth K. Bright, 90, of Muncie, died Thursday night, January 15th, 2015 at Bethel Point. She was born February 26th, 1924 in Muncie, and was the daughter of the late Jacob M. & Vesta (Anderson) Byrd.
Ruth retired in 1981 from Indiana Bell after 37 years of service, where she was a supervisor. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #33 and the Telephone Pioneers. Ruth was a member of the Normal City Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Moles of Muncie and Billie Townsend of Hartford City; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Gene Keeler, second husband William E. Bright; brother Woodrow Wilson "Buddy" Byrd; sister Lavon Clark; and a granddaughter Lisa Michele Veyette.
Funeral Services for Ruth will be held Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 1- 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
