Ruth I. Doster, 87, of Muncie, IN died at 12:07 a.m. on Thursday September 27, 2007 at Westminster Village in Muncie. She was born on February 16, 1920 in Ohio the daughter of Earl and Minnie Pearl (Horner) Barbor. On October 1, 1938 she married Eugene Doster who preceded her in death on December 16, 1996.
She was a home maker most of her life and took great pride in her home. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining.
Surviving relatives include her one son, Ned Doster (wife: Elaine) of Ft. Wayne, IN; one daughter, Jill Carmichael (husband: David) of Leander, TX; three grandchildren, Sean Dosterglick (wife: Sandy) of Hartsville, IN; Pete Carmichael (wife: Stella) of Laveen, AZ; Mike Carmichael (wife: Linda) of Jacksonville, NC; five great-grandchildren, Patrick Carmichael; Christopher Carmichael; Taylor Carmichael all of Laveen, AZ; Morgan Dosterglick and Quinn Dosterglick of Hartsville, IN; niece, Mrs. Helen George and Mrs. Beverly Bertram both of Muncie and Sara Barbor of Winona, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Clyde Barbor.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday October 1, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Howard Fights will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
