Sally L. Johnson, 76, passed away on Sunday July 9, 2017 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on June 28, 1941 to Homer J. and Gladys Maude (Lake) Bessette in Saint Albans, Vermont.

Sally married her husband John E. Johnson in 1959 and had three children. Sally had previously attended Harris Chapel Church of the Nazarene. She loved and enjoyed raising and rescuing farm animals. John and Sally were well known for their American "Scottish" Highland Cattle.

Sally is survived by her two daughters, Margaret "Magi" Kirkpatrick Sikora (Jeff) and Judith Truax (Dr. Brad); a brother, Leon J. Bessette (Pat) of Florida; a sister, Virginia R. Bessette of Vermont; two grandchildren, Jay M. Kirkpatrick (Lisa) and Dr. Lindsey M. Kirkpatrick Shaw (Jon); and two great-grandchildren, Kian and Zoe Kirkpatrick. Sally is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John E. Johnson; and a son, John A. Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Burlington United Methodist Church with Pastor Ron Wilson officiating on Friday July 14, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Friday.
