Sally Sue Simmons, 80, died Sunday evening following an extended illness. She was born July 26, 1935 in Portland, Indiana, and was the daughter of the late Carl and Emily (Journey) Ludy.
Sally worked in the home healthcare industry for many years. She enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren and cooking.
Sally is survived by a son, Michael Simmons (Della) of Minnesota, two daughters, Joni Townsend, of Hartford City and Kathy Robinson (Greg) of Hartford City, seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Private burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
