Samantha Thomas, 52 of Fishers passed away early Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at IU North Hospital in Carmel. She was born December 29, 1966 in Memphis, TN and is the daughter of Irene (Thomas) Jones and the late Solomon Jones.

Samantha was a graduate of Ivy Tech College. She was employed as an Ultra Sound Technician for the Advanced Fertility Group in Indianapolis, IN for 28 years.  Samantha was devoted to her job and was known to send cards to patients that experienced a loss.  She was also known to take a dinner to a family of someone that might be ill or had experienced a loss.  Samantha was just a true jewel in the rough.

Samantha leaves to cherish her mother Irene Jones of Muncie; a sister Darlean Ray (Kenny) of Upper Marlboro, MD; a cherished niece Mia Nicole Ray whom she lovingly referred to as "The Baby" or "Mia Mia" of Upper Marlboro, MD; four step-sisters Juanita Love and Willa M. Baxter both of Chicago, IL, Linda Diane Jefferson and Jacqueline Smith (Donald) both of Antioch, TN; three step-brothers Ernest Love Jr., of Chicago, IL, Ken McRay (Renee) of Danville, IL and Cherry Maybry (Debra) of Antioch, TN; an uncle Willie Thomas (Eliza) of Muncie; cousins Robert Thomas (Lorenda) of Kansas City, KS, Craig Thomas (Kari) of Bismark, ND; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; special friends Dr. William Gentry and Sherie Bolin.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother Gregory Wayne Thomas and an aunt Pearlie Mae Young.
