Samuel "Sam" Andrew Moore, 85 0f Muncie, died Sunday afternoon, September 30, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born July 2, 1933 in Mechanicsburg, IN. and is the son of the late Henry Lee and Sylvia (Hensley) Moore.

Sam proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Indiana Steel & Wire. Sam enjoyed being with family and friends.

Sam is survived by his five children, Marilyn Sue Moore, Henry Andrew "Bud" Moore, Connie McVicker, Sharon K. Moore, and William Lee "Bill" Moore; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Marilyn C. Moore, whom he married November 7, 1952.

Funeral Services for Sam will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial with military honors being conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
