Sandra Kay Adams Hunt 71, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2017 at Yorktown Manor in Yorktown, IN. She was born on August 2, 1945 the 6th child of William E. Adams and Lela R. Simpson Adams. She was a lifelong Muncie resident and attended Central High School. After graduation, she went to work at Ball Memorial Hospital as a nursing assistant, for 28 years, until she became disabled.
Sandy was a caregiver all her life. She took care of her parents, as well as husbands and other family members. She had a contagious smile and loved to laugh and act silly. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing games, and traveling.
She leaves behind her loving brother and sister in law Jim and Linda Adams of Muncie, two stepsons; Mike (Pam) Hunt, Tim (Terri) Hunt, a stepdaughter Candy Clawson, Sybil Lane and family, Cindy Coblentz and family, Willie Elliott, Melissa, Hannah and Noah Moody, special friend Jerry Haack from Clayton, IN., several close friends including, Regina Gibson, Marsha Strouse, and Judy Wyatt, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her fur baby, Sissy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Adams, and Lela R. Simpson Adams, her husbands; Cleon Dryer and Issac Hunt, her brother Billy Wayne Adams, sisters Shirley Headrick, Shelby Ward, and Carolyn Sue Adams, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Bahami and the staff of Yorktown Manor for taking such great care of Sandy.
A funeral service for Sandy will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, on Monday May, 8th, 2017 at 1:00 pm, Pastor Linda Adams officiating. Friends may call from Noon until the time of the service.
