Sandra Mae (Barber) Forshee, 64, of Muncie, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in the loving arms of her children. She was born on June 1, 1944 in Muncie, IN to Hazel (Burnsworth) Speece and the late Alton Barber.
Sandra was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and daughter. Sandra enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, and completing puzzles. She also enjoyed her vegetable gardens as well as the outdoors. Sandra was also an avid cardinal collector.
Surviving relatives include her mother, Hazel Speece of Muncie, IN; loving children, Tina Moore of Muncie, IN; Robert Moore (wife: Melissa) of Wheaton, IL; Terry Miller (husband: Bobby) of Muncie, IN; and Daniel Davenport (wife: Caryn) of Anderson, IN; brothers Michael Speece (wife: Diane) and Donnie Barber (wife: Anita), both of Muncie, IN; sister Linda Bauman (husband: Bob) of Elkhart, IN; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and special poodle, Angel.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father Alton Barber; husband Darrell E. Forshee of 42 years; and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Upon the family''s request, casual dress is desired. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Ball Memorial Hospice in memory of Sandra.
