Sandra Kay Deffenbaugh, age 66, of Yorktown, passed away Saturday October 19, 2013 at her residence after an extended battle with cancer. Born on November 3, 1946, in Muncie, she was the daughter of the late Richard Samuel and Wilma Elizabeth (Masters) Sutton.
Sandra worked as a secretary at Indiana Bell for 21 years and then at Ball State University for 15 years. She was a member of the Ball State Sympathy Club. Some of her favorite hobbies include restoring antiques, crafts, calligraphy art, gardening in her flower gardens, and sitting on the deck looking out at the creek. "Sandra always enjoyed and appreciated a beautiful day!"
Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years Harry Ell Deffenbaugh of Yorktown; son Jamie Daniel of Noblesville; step-children Kimberly (Jerry) Brown of Kokomo, and Douglas Ell (Mary Jane) Deffenbaugh and Scott (Kim) Deffenbaugh both of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Ronald Sutton of Indianapolis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Rodney Sutton.
Friends may call on Monday October 21, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. Indiana 3, Muncie. Private service and burial.
