Sarah Charlene Bantz, 90, of Muncie died Monday evening March 21st, 2016 at the Lynd Place. She was born July 24th, 1925 in Eaton and was the daughter of the late John H. & Pauline (Wilson) Lewis.
Sarah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, who loved her family greatly. She was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Life Stream. Sarah retired from Kerr Glass in Dunkirk. She loved to travel and spend time with her pets. Sarah was a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church in Dunkirk.
Sarah is survived by her three sons, Daniel Bantz of Luray, Ken Bantz (Janet) of Portland, and Michael Bantz (Diana) of Muncie; two grandchildren, Erin Bantz of Elkhart and Emily Bantz of Greenwood; a sister Donna James (Larry) of Dunkirk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Max L. Bantz; a sister Jeanette Smith; three brothers Herbert, Max, and Fred Lewis.
Funeral Services for Sarah will be held Thursday, March 24th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
