Sarah Jean Lacy, 77 of Muncie passed peacefully at Signature Health Care with family by her side. She was born January 14th, 1939 to Clinton O. Brock and Grace D. (Peckinpaugh) Brock in Anderson, IN.
Sarah was a receptionist for Dr. C.J. Carey in Anderson; she also was a comptometrist for Blocks Department Store in Indianapolis and Best Ever Dairy in Anderson. She later worked as office and cash room clerk for Wells Department Store and Kings Department Store of Muncie. Sarah also worked at Muncie Anesthesiologist as a billing clerk. She loved music, dancing, art especially Pet portraits. Sarah never professed to be an "artist" but claim only to be a "shade tree artist". She adored animals, especially cats. Sarah also treasured spending time with her nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She also had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Sarah was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses North Congregation and had many wonderful and supportive spiritual friends there. Her desire was to please God and his son Jesus Christ and enjoyed sharing the Kingdom Message to all she talked to.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Vance Edward Lacy of Muncie; a step-daughter Karen Lacy of Muncie; a sister Patricia Loutner of Indianapolis; a special close nephew Greg Hobson of Muncie and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Lee Brock and two brothers John and Sheldon Brock.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 5th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah''s Witnesses, 4405 North Walnut Street, Muncie, IN 47303 with Elder Kevin Spurgeon officiating. Private Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Lacy family wanted to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Signature Healthcare Regent Hall for their compassionate care.
