Scott Emery Webb, 88, of Eaton, IN died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 13, 1920 in rural Delaware County, IN the son of Floyd and Pansy (Scott) Webb. He graduated from Harrison High School in Gaston, IN. In June 1955 he married Shirley Jean Vance in Frankfort, IN.
Scott served in the Navy during WW II from 1942-1945. Scott worked at Chevrolet for 39 years on the assembly line and retired in 1985. He was a member of Avondale Sympathy Club, and was also a former member of Mt. Carmel UMC in Hartford City. Scott was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed camping in Wisconsin with his family.
Surviving relatives include son, Scott Eric Webb (wife: Lynn) of Eaton, IN; daughters, Debbie Keller (husband: Jack) of Muncie, IN, Cheryl Wright (Joe Aigner) of Albany, IN, and Nancy Goodnight of Muncie, IN; brother, Dale Webb (wife: Carolyn) of Muncie, IN; sister, Ruth Iseley (husband: Loyd) of Gaston, IN; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend Kay Shellenbarger.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; former wife Shirley; brother Ted; and sister Mary.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Entombment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Muncie. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
