Selena Kay (Johnson) Kanazeh, age 80, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 16, 1943, in Muncie, she was the cherished daughter of Doris and Pearson Johnson.
Selena married the love of her life, Samir Kanazeh, on December 20, 1975. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Selena was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was her greatest joy.
A lifelong member of St. George Orthodox Christian Church, Selena dedicated over 30 years to her faith community. She was actively involved in the Ladies of St. George, where her passion for service and fellowship flourished. Her commitment to the church and its members reflected her deep compassion and love for others.
Selena is survived by her beloved husband, Samir Kanazeh; daughter, Michelle Thompson (husband, Eric); son, Antony Kanazeh (Brittany Kyle); grandchildren, Kylee and Bryce Thompson, and Layla and Milo Kanazeh; sister-in-law, Kathy Nichols (Daryl); and brother-in-law, Ron Zerbe (Pam).; cousins, Kirbie Moore (Nelson), Kathie Taylor, Bill Rodewald (Terri), Rick Rodewald (Julie), David Neal Boxell (Diane); nieces, Pam Clifford-Harper, Angie Zimmers (Chuck), Cindy Perez (Dominick), Monica Howard, Jude Wilsford, Tami Thurber (Tim), Holli Zerbe, Julienne Couturier (Greg), Mary Russell (Rob), Heather Leon (Jeff), and Rita Kanazeh; nephews, Greg Clifford, Pearson "PJ" Johnson III (Amy), Harley Arnold (Jennifer), Dan Zerbe (Bethany), Brian Zerbe (Jennifer), Charles Kanazeh (Kim), Nabil Kanazeh (Angie), Shafeek Kanazeh (Kristen), Fadi Kanazeh, Paul Kanazeh (Kita), Paul Kanazeh (Andrea), Sam Kanazeh (Angela), Joe Mann (Megan), and Nabil Risha (Marie).
Selena is preceded in passing by her parents; brother, Pearson "Punch" Johnson II; sisters, Sherry Zerbe, Marcia Arnold, and Judy Clifford.
Family and friends may call at St.George Orthodox Christian Church, 10748 E 116th St, Fishers, IN 46037, on Thursday, October 10th, 2024.  Viewing for family begins at 4:00PM, and 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM for friends and family. The Funeral service will be held at 6:30 PM. Additional calling hours will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N St Rd 3, Muncie IN 47303, on Friday October 11th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
