Shane VanMatre, 38, formerly of Muncie, IN died Friday November 26, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, IN. He was born on August 22, 1972 the son of Charles VanMatre and Peggy (Stuffel) Kelsey.
He was a sports enthusiast and an avid Colts fan.
Surviving relatives include his father, Charles VanMatre (wife: Sara) of Lafayette, IN; mother, Peggy Kelsey of New Albany, IN; brother, Brett M. VanMatre (wife: Shana) of Clarksville, TN; two nephews and one niece, Nicholas Ryan VanMatre, Logan VanMatre, Taylor VanMatre; aunts and uncles, Robert VanMatre (wife: Wanda); Nolan Dale Stuffel (wife: Mary); Joseph Stuffel (wife: Catheryn); David Stuffel; Victor Stuffel (wife: Jackie); and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Jim Ballenger will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
