Sharon Kay Chisman of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 6, 1943 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Milo and Margret L. (Carney) York.
Sharon graduated from Muncie Central High School and married Robert A. Chisman. She enjoyed being a housewife and mother to her children and step-children. She also worked at the Party House in the Muncie Mall. She was a member of Eden Church of Christ. She enjoyed bingo and visiting the casino and was an avid golfer. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sharon is survived by her son, Harold W. Burge of Eaton, Indiana; daughter, Vickie Huston (Victor Altic) of Muncie, Indiana; step-sons, Steve, David, and Mike Chisman, all of Phoenix, Arizona; step-daughter, Cathy of Muncie, Indiana; brother, Bob York of Muncie, Indiana; sister, Rosemary Davis of Muncie; five grandchildren, Julie, Brandon, Gavin, Taylor, and Steven (Mellissa); five great grandchildren, Jacob, Kaylynn, Jazmyne, Liam, and Delaney.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Chisman; two daughters, Tammy Burge and Cindy Burge (Clevenger); brothers Terry and Gene; sisters, Bettie, JoAnn, and Wanda; and parents, Milo and Margret L. (Carney) York.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 pm, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Heather Dyer. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
