Sharon Kay Druckemiller, 63, passed away Monday December 4, 2017 at her Florida home. She was born on October 22, 1954 to Fred and Iva (Knight) Dodd.
Sharon was head matron for the Delaware County jail, and she retired as a Lieutenant after 24 years of service.
Sharon recently began running from the snow here in Muncie. She had a winter home in Frostproof Florida for a few years. She devoted her life to caring for others. Sharon cherished being with her family and friends here in Muncie and in Frostproof where she enjoyed always doing for others. Her retirement was well spent mastering her lemon pie.
The most important priority in her life was her family. Sharon is survived by her two children; a son, Craig (Nicole) Nuckols of Selma, his two children; Zoey and Brynn Nuckols, a daughter Carrie Cherry of Muncie and her three children; Keeley (Zach Guffey), Madelynn and Nolan Cherry, two step sons; Alan and Mitch Druckemiller, two brothers; Robert Dodd (Karen), Dean Dodd (Teresa), three sisters Sandra Scott (Don), Shirley Liggett (Jerry), Margie Martin, a special friend Paul Bowen and a new found love, Steve Maupin
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles Dodd.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at Garden View Funeral Home. Friends may call on Monday December 11, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and an hour before the service on Tuesday.
