Sheila Kay Hudson, 68, of Muncie passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on August 16, 1942 in Hartford City, IN to the late Robert and Marjorie (Life) Ruble. On October 12, 1963 she married her love, Jack L. Hudson in Muncie.
Sheila worked in the Muncie City School Districts as a milk lady'' and as a baker for 20 years. Sheila loved to flower and vegetable garden and enjoyed canning. She was an avid Cubs fan. She also cherished her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild greatly.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband Jack Hudson of 46 years; their 3 children: Bryan Hudson (wife, Debbie) of Fort Wayne; Alan Hudson (wife, Jane) of Fort Worth, TX; and Cary Hudson (wife, Dawn Taylor-Hudson) of Carmel; brother Richard Ruble (wife, Lee Ann) of TN; sister Sara Robertson (husband, Danny) of Anderson; 8 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday with Pastor Chuck Bell officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
