Shelby Pharris Campell, 78, of Muncie, IN, died Wednesday December 26, 2012 at The Woodlands in Muncie, IN. He was born on March 15, 1934 in Albany, KY the son of Ira and Lola Campbell.

He was a member of the McCormick View Chapel church in Muncie, IN. He served as an usher at the church. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and was an avid mall walker. He was also a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club.

Surviving relatives include five brothers and five sisters, Dennis Campbell (Judy) of Muncie, IN, Georgel Campbell (Rose) of Park City, KY; Woodrow Campbell (Nancy) of Muncie, IN; Franklin Campbell (Betty) of Muncie, IN; Dannie Campbell of Muncie, IN; Willimae Behm (Don) of Muncie, IN; Alma Phillips (Hewey) of Kentucky; Mary Alvretta Fyffe (Charles) of Yorktown, IN; Connie Gale Sargent (Steve) of Noblesville, IN; Minnie Gragg (Ralph) of Selma, IN; one aunt, Monnie Guinn of Cammack, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday December 31, 2012 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the True Light Baptist Church or the Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church in Muncie, IN.
