IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sheri Lynn
Miller
June 21, 1963 – July 20, 2025
Obituary - Sheri Lynn King Miller
On Sunday, July 20, Sheri Lynn (King) Miller transitioned from the light and momentary troubles of this world to eternal glory, surrounded by loving family and caregivers. The daughter of Bob and Judy King, Sheri was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 21, 1963. Sheri attended Yorktown schools in her grade school years and was a 1981 graduate of Delta High School. During her high school and college years, Sheri worked for her parents at their bookstore, the Christian Supply Center.
At Olivet Nazarene University, Sheri met Daniel Miller, the love of her life. Dan and Sheri graduated from Olivet in 1985 and married the following week. Together they spent years in teaching and development work while living in numerous countries abroad.
Over the years, Sheri gained deep satisfaction from cooking, gardening, and hosting. Among her other lifelong passions were early child-hood education, music, and a love of languages.
At the time of her passing, Sheri was a member of Southport Church of the Nazarene in Southport Indiana. She received a Distinguished Service award from the Indianapolis District of the Church of the Nazarene in 2019. In Muncie, she was associated with Wheeling Avenue Church of the Nazarene in her youth, and more recently with Center Chapel and Garden at Gethsemane Global Methodist Churches, as well as Union Chapel Ministries.
Sheri leaves many family members who will miss her dearly: her husband of 40 years, Daniel Miller, her daughter Hannah of Seattle Washington, parents Bob and Judy King of Muncie, Indiana, sister Tammy Ooley (Scott) of Camby Indiana, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, father and mother-in-law Hilbert and Sadie Miller of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, two sisters in law, Debbie Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska and Diana Reinert (John) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition, she is survived by numerous "daughters of grace," including Chansari Kashung (Job Arun) of Bangalore, India, Paola Martinez of Mexico City, Mexico, Saumia Kurien of Nampa, Idaho, and Christella Ramarojaona of Bordeaux, France.
Sheri's baby sister, Michelle (Shelly) Ann King preceded her to Heaven.
