Sheryn Dee Davis, 67, of Gaston, went home to be with the Lord, Monday afternoon , April 8th , 2013 at her residence in Gaston. She was born August 3rd, 1945 in Muncie, IN., and was the daughter of the late Gene W. & Osie Irene (Antrim) Brown.
Sheryn was a member of Grace Baptist Church and Prairie Grove Congregational Church. She and her husband Larry had a music ministry traveling and singing in Churches, Nursing Homes and, Assisted Living Centers. She followed her husband faithfully with the Graceman Quartet for 30 years. She worked as a teller for 20 plus years at Star Financial Bank in Gaston. She loved her family greatly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sheryn is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Larry Victor Davis of Gaston; two daughters Ranae Burkett (Craig) of Muncie, and Amy Lasater (Van) of Albany; four grandson''s Justin Burkett (Lacey), Joshua Burkett (Sacha), Jake Lasater (Anita), and Andrew Lasater; one granddaughter Ashley Grimes; five great-granddaughters; one brother Ronnie Brown (Jackie) of Gaston; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Troy Gene Davis, father and mother-in-laws, Joe and Elizabeth Davis.
Funeral Services for Sheryn will be held Friday April 12th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastors Collins Glenn and Joe Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call Thursday, April 11th, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
