Shirley May Needham, 71, of Daleville, died Tuesday evening December 22nd, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born April 15th, 1944 in Muncie, IN and was the daughter of the late Henry Robert & Ella May (Dehart) Cross.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She enjoyed going shopping, attending craft shows, square dancing, and cooking. Shirley was a graduate of Yorktown High School.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 55 years J. Farrell Needham of Daleville; a daughter Deborah Murphy (Terry) of Daleville; two grandchildren Jason Murphy(Ashley) of Daleville and Michelle Murphy(Tyler) of Gaston; four great-grandchildren Trentyn Aul, Bella Murphy, Aidan Wright, and Goin Wright all of Daleville; three sisters Jodie Brown (Larry) of Gaston, Linda Stahl (DeWayne) of Muncie, and Sherry Lynn Brannon (Doug) of Smithville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Pat Riggleman and two brothers David and Henry Eugene Cross.
Funeral Services for Shirley will be held Monday, December 28th, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Adams of Pauline Avenue Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Monday at the funeral home.
