Shirley Ann Jones, 78, of Muncie, died late Saturday evening, November 24th, 2012 at Liberty Village following an extended illness. She was born May 27th, 1934 in Muncie, IN. and was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas & Frances (Downward) Jones.
Shirley was a 1952 graduate of Muncie Central High School and a graduate of Ball State Teachers College in 1957. Shirley enjoyed playing golf, and had been the Club Champion at Green Hills Country Club for 12 years in a row. She proudly and honorably served her country in the United States Air Force. Shirley was a retired Medical Technologist in the HealthCare Industry. She was a life long member of the Muncie area, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Shirley is survived by her brother, James Downward Jones (Nancy) of Muncie; two nieces Tracy Grimes, and Shelby Cloyd; three nephews, John and Mike Potter, and Randy Jones; several great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Shirley will be held, Wednesday, November 28th , 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Gregg officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and Friends may call Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
