Mrs. Shirley Ann Kirklin, 87, passed away on March 23, 2022. at Morrison Wood Nursing Home.  She was born February 22, 1937 in Delaware County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Earl L, and Nila Dean "Owens" Gibson.

She lived most of her life in the Selma area before moving to Muncie. She graduated from Center High School.

She loved to sew, paint, craft and cook for her family.

Shirley is survived by her Husband, Austin of 69 years. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 3rd this year. Daughter Cathy Coon, Grandchildren, Ryan Coon, Jami Soultz, Aaron and Allison Kirklin. Great grandsons Jegan Soultz, Alex, Parker and Riley Coon.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Nila Dean Gibson, Mother-in-law, Edith Kirklin, Brother Bob Gibson, Sister Gloria Condon, and Son, Jerry Kirklin.

The family wants to extend their thanks to Morrison Woods for the special care extended to Shirley over the past few months.

A private service is being held at Gardens of Memory for the family.

Calling will be Wednesday March 30, 2022 at Garden View Funeral Home at 10501 N. St. Rd. 3 Muncie, IN 47303 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M.
