Shirley Louise Musick Bright, 64, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009, following a brief illness at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born, June 8, 1945, at Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of John Elam and Elizabeth (Bowlin) Kerney.
Shirley was a 1962 graduate of Union High School in Losantville, Indiana. She married James Earl Musick that same year and he preceded her in death in 1982. Shirley later married Ricky Bright Sr. in 1996 and he preceded her in earlier this year.
Mrs. Bright had been a home maker. She was a member of the Westside Full Gospel Church and The Cop Shop #9 on 20th St. Shirley enjoyed fishing, listening to Cook and Belle, watching racing and family times with her grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Dawn Runyon (companion-Roy Johnson), Muncie; three sons, Jeffrey Musick (wife-Stephanie), Kelley DeWayne Musick, and Ricky Lee Bright Jr. all of Muncie; four grandchildren, Natasha Danielle Runyon (fianc-Michael Bradford), Amber Dawn Artrip, Ashley Ann Musick and James Earl Musick II; two great grandchildren, Haley Dawn Bradford and Nathan Lee Allen Bradford; one sister, Cindy Warden (husband-Mark), Hagerstown; three brothers, Cletis Eugene Kerney, Muncie, Roger Dale Kerney, Richmond and Lawrence "Butch" Kerney, Losantville.
Besides her two husbands, she was preceded in death by, her parents and one brother, Clyde Kerney.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary, with Pastor Charles Conley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
