Stella M. Simpson, 70, of Muncie, IN died Friday June 18, 2010 at her residence. She was born on September 15, 1939 in Monticello, KY the daughter of Ruben and Lova (Vaughn) Kidd. On December 10, 1957 she married Kenneth G. Simpson.
Stella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. She was a very giving and caring person. She also enjoyed her pet dogs, cooking and shopping.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Kenneth G. Simpson of Muncie, IN; one son, Kenny Simpson (Linda) of Muncie, IN; one daughter, Lynetta Messer (Richard) of Muncie, IN; one sister, Patricia Ann New (Edward) of Monticello, KY; four grandchildren, Amy Simpson (Daniel Huerta); Kenny Simpson (Brandy Duncan); Jonathan Crouch (Kimberly Vela); Andrew Messer all of Muncie, IN; five great-grandchildren, Gracie Simpson; Bailey Dalton; Brooklyn Huerta; Tyler Simpson; and Seth Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday June 21, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Hoyt Davis will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
