Stella Marie Williams, 87, of Muncie, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 19, 2011 in her home following a brief illness.
She was born July 28, 1923 in Parmleysville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Baxter and Luvada (Burnett) Davis.
Stella's life revolved around her family and for many years they would all gather at her home on Sundays where she would lovingly prepare delicious chicken dinners to enjoy. She was a member of True Light Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Betty J. Lofton of Dunkirk, Clyde R. Williams, Shirley M. (husband: John) Bingham and Larry W. (wife: Ann) Williams all of Muncie; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Williams in 1987; four sons, Bobby, Raymond, Richard and Paul Williams; a granddaughter, Marlena Williams; two grandsons who died at birth and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at True Light Baptist Church, 805 N. Country Club Rd. Muncie, with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at True Light Baptist church and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday.
