Steven Alan Huffman, 60, of Selma, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1950 in Muncie to the late Blaine and Glennadean (Hunt) Huffman. Steve is a 1968 graduate of Wapahani High School. On August 22, 1970 he married his love, Pamela Sue Weaver in Muncie.
Steve worked in commercial construction for 15+ years with Kirklin & Sons in Muncie. He was an avid golfer and was a past member of Hickory Hills Golf Course. Steve later decided to further his education and attended Ball State University. He graduated in 1995 with a degree in General Studies. Steve also enjoyed hunting, fishing, knife shows, NASCAR, and the Chicago Bears. But more importantly, he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Pamela Huffman; their loving children: Suzi McLaughlin (husband, Tim) of Palatine, IL and Kerri Mendler (husband, Michael) of Westfield; 4 adorable grandchildren: Nathan and Marin McLaughlin and Bailey and Kaden Mendler; brother Dale Huffman (wife, Patty) of Fishers; and nephew Ryan Huffman.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 24, 2010 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. There will also be an additional hour visitation prior to the funeral service on Friday.
