Muncie - Susan G. Carter of Muncie, Indiana passed away early on Sunday morning, January 29, 2023 at the age of 63. She was born on May 4, 1959 to Buddy Lewis and Pasty V. Lewis in Muncie, Indiana.

Susan was a dedicated homemaker, avid hiker and explorer, loved genealogy, and reading.  She married David L. Carter on July 9, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Cassie M. Kimbrell (Justin) of Woodland Park, Colorado; son, Matthew R. Carter (Mallory) of Daleville, Indiana; granddaughter, River Rose Kimbrell; sisters, Judith Anderson, Pamela Byrd, and Kay Fisher; also surviving her ten nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3 at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
