IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tanya Nicole
Love-Dean
July 20, 1975 – June 5, 2025
Tanya Nicole Love-Dean, lovingly known as Mrs. T, Mama, Meemaw, and
Mamas Girl Love, departed this life peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the age of 49.
Tanya was a woman of strength, heart, and wisdom-an anchor to her family and
a light to all who knew her.
Born on July 20, 1975, in Muncie, Indiana, Tanya was the cherished daughter of
Patricia Love and the late James Zell Love. She was the beloved sister of James
Zell Love Jr., granddaughter of Deloris Stephens, and devoted wife to Keith
Dean. Tanya was a proud graduate of Muncie Southside High School and went
on to earn her bachelor's degree in criminal justice-a testament to her
dedication and determination.
She was a nurturing mother to the late Teasia Scott and her son, Robert VaughnIII and a doting grandmother to: Za'Rimah, Zar'Kyas, Za'Vari, Dari'elle, Zy'Asia, Ay'Briel, A'King, and Ja'Zelle. She also lovingly embraced her step grandchildren: Jamari, Mona, Kensely, and Devon, never seeing them as anything less than her own.
Tanya grew up in Muncie, Indiana, and later made her home in Douglasville,
Georgia, where she created a life full of meaning, love, and beautiful memories.
Her personality was one of a kind-funny, blunt, strong, outgoing, and full of
love. She was as tough as she was tender, a woman who could bring laughter to a
room, comfort to a heart, and wisdom to any situation.
She found joy in reading, listening to music, cooking soulfilled meals, and
telling stories that always came with lessons or laughter. Her favorite moments
were those spent watching movies at home with her son, going out to eat, or
traveling to places that made her feel free-especially her memorable birthday
trips and the joy of being surrounded by her grandchildren.
Tanya believed in peace, happiness, and putting family first. She lived by these
values every day, always extending a hand to those in need, offering guidance,
and being a rock for those around her. She was proud of many things in life, but
owning her home and creating a safe, warm space for her family was one of her
proudest achievements.
Tanya will be remembered most for her heart, her advice, her unforgettable
cooking, and her comforting voice. Her life was rich with stories and traditions like her yearly Mother's Day visits to Muncie-that her family will carry on in her
honor.
She spent her final days surrounded by love-her devoted son, husband, mother,
her precious newest grandbaby Ja'Zelle, her loyal dog Bentley, and her Aunt Robin. In those final moments, she gave the gift she always gave best her presence, love , her spirit.
