Timothy "Tim" Lee Oxley, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024, at the age of 79. He was a dedicated husband to June Elaine Oxley (Leazenby) for 44 loving years. Born on September 9, 1944, Tim was the son of Ralph D. Oxley and E. Jean Oxley (Baker).
Tim spent many years as a forklift driver for General Motors, known for his reliability and hard work. He was a skilled mechanic, a lover of motorcycles, and enjoyed boating with friends and family. Tim had a playful spirit, known for his knack for fixing anything and his mischievous pranks. He cherished watching his grandson play the guitar and adored all his grandchildren.
Tim will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and compassion.
Tim is survived by his son, Ken Oxley (wife, Tracy); daughter, Lisa Chambers (husband, Andrew); grandchildren, Bryce Oxley (wife, Jacie), Kyle Oxley (wife, Katilyn), and Taylan Oxley (husband, Iven); great-grandchildren, Louie and Maeve Oxley and Isla and Twyla Stewart; and good friends, Jerry Sherwood, Bob Coates, J.C. Reed, and Mike Acree.
He is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, June Elaine Oxley (Leazenby); parents, Ralph D. Oxley and E. Jean Oxley (Baker); his brother, Duane Oxley; and his great-grandson, Otto Lee Oxley.
Calling hours for Tim will be held on May 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
