Timothy Lee Yokaitis, 35 left our earth early Saturday morning the 23rd of May 2009, due to a sudden illness at Ball Memorial Hospital.
While those he left behind will greatly miss him we know the angels in heaven will love him. He takes many gifts with him including his abundant knowledge of many subjects: A love of nature, music, animals, computers, and politics. He carries his great talents of music, cooking, and writing. He attended Wapahani High School, Ball State University and Ivy Tech. He explored several career options, but primarily made his living as a commercial truck driver. Timothy was a loving and giving man. He received the Phillip Sousa Award for music and several creative writing awards. He served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1993 to 1996 as a communications circuit controller in S. Korea.
Timothy is survived by his father David Yokaitis (wife: Rebecca); mother Linda Yokaitis; sister Beth Garringer (husband: Ryan); grandmother, Betty Jane Daugherty; uncles, William Lewis , Phoenix, AZ, and Gary Yokaitis, Muncie; special cousin, Nancy J. Shaffer and his beloved nephew Jacob Austin Garringer.
Viewing hours for family and friends will be at the Garden View Funeral Home from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM with an open funeral service immediately following the viewing. Gravesite, Military honors will be provided by the Delaware Co. Veterans at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N St Rd 3 Muncie, In 47303.
