T.J. Bailey, 80, of Muncie, IN died July 8, 2007 at the Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center in Muncie. He was born on November 9, 1926 the son of Gilbert and Beatrice (Avery) Bailey. On February 15, 1979 in Muncie he married Gloria (Etchison) Bailey who survives.
T.J. retired from Ontario Forge after 23 years of service. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing in church quartettes and renovating cars. He was a Mr. Fix-it and enjoyed helping people with maintenance and repairs.
Surviving relatives include his spouse Gloria Bailey of Muncie, IN; one daughter, Roasemary Lipscomb of Muncie, IN; one uncle, James Marvin Bailey of Alton, IL; six grandchildren, Kulayah Butler, Reginald Lipscomb, Jr., Bilal Lipscomb (wife: Charolette), Pennie Lipscomb, Carol Drummer, and Santana Drummer; 27 great-granchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gilbert Bailey, Jr.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 12, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
