IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Toni (Stroud)
Lehman Gullett
January 16, 1945 – September 17, 2025
Toni (Stroud) Lehman Gullett
Age 80, of Muncie, Indiana
Toni (Stroud) Lehman Gullett, 80, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday September 17, 2025. She was born at home on January 16, 1945, in Morrison, Warren County, Tennessee, to James Gwyn Stroud and Betty Ruth (Denton) Stroud.
A 1963 graduate of Muncie Central High School, Toni began her career as a typist at Beebe Title Company in Muncie, where she worked for two and a half years. On December 10, 1965, she married Jerry Wayne Lehman at Fairlawn Church of Christ. Soon after, the couple relocated to Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, where Jerry served in the U.S. Army for two years.
In 1980, Toni received a full scholarship through the Ko Memorial Scholarship Fund and graduated from the Muncie School of Practical Nursing. She dedicated her life to caring for others—first as a nurse on 9 North at Ball Memorial Hospital, where she worked until 1998, and later in various healthcare facilities until her retirement in 2010.
Toni was a woman of quiet grace, deep faith, and a gentle spirit. She was a devoted member of Towne Acres Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri Lynn Lehman; her parents, Betty Ruth (Denton) Stroud and James Gwyn Stroud; her sister, Brenda Gail Bond; and her brother, Barry Kent Stroud.
Toni is lovingly remembered by her family: brother, Dr. James Denton Stroud (Helen Carol) of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; her sister-in-law, Barbara Jo (Groves) Stroud of McMinnville, Tennessee; her daughters, Kellie Renae (Lehman) McClellan (Muhammad Waseem) of Muncie and Lori DeAnne (Lehman) Craig (Troy James Craig) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Raquel Alexandra DeAugustine (Connor Isaiah Mitchener) of Muncie, Captain Courtney Elizabeth (Craig) Barringer (Ian Jonas) of the U.S. Army, Ethan James Craig (Rebecca Allison) of Hendersonville, James Douglas McClellan of Indianapolis, and Addie Catherine Craig of Hendersonville; and her great-grandson, Myles Liam Mitchener of Muncie. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Gardens of Memory in Muncie on September 21, 2025 at 2:00P. All are welcome.
