Vance McIntosh, 74, of Yorktown, IN passed away Friday May 23, 2008 at his home. He was born August 27, 1933 in Fleming Co. KY the son of Julius McIntosh Sr. and Mary (Patton) Utsler. On May 31, 1952 he was married to Sherley (Warner) whom survives. Vance served in occupied Germany during the Korean War 1953 to 1955. He attended Primitive Baptist Church, and was a member of the Gun and Knife Club, Eagles, Elks, V.F.W., AMVETS and the American Legion
Surviving relatives include his wife Sherley McIntosh of Yorktown, three sons, James McIntosh( wife Jerry) of Alabama, Darryl McIntosh (wife Julie) of Georgia, Brian McIntosh ( wife Tina) of New Mexico, one daughter, Jennifer Hamilton ( husband Clif Leblo) of Muncie, IN four brothers Julius McIntosh Jr. of Springport IN, Ronald McIntosh of Hamilton OH, Timothy Utsler ( wife Seena) of Marion IN and Jimmy Utsler of Marion, IN three sisters Lucy Hammond of Selma In, Earnestine Fisher of Marion IN and Janice Bush ( husband Marcum) of Yorktown IN, nine grandchildren, Nelly Debord, Connie McIntosh, Tina McIntosh, Angel Blanch, Nikkole Gragg, Jenna Laudermilt, Klint Hamilton, Chelsea Hamilton and Elijah McIntosh, nine great grand children and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded him in death was both his parents, one sister and four brothers
Services will be Tuesday May 27, 2008 at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, In 47303. Elder: Glen Funk and Brother: Bill Blackburn will officiate the service; Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 9 to 12:00 p.m. May 27, 2008 at the funeral home with funeral services immediately following Contributions may be made to the Primitive Baptist Church C/O Shirley Thacker of Gaston IN.
