Vera Thomas Beal, 81, of Muncie, IN died Wednesday June 10, 2009 at the Woodlands Nursing Home, Muncie, IN. She was born on November 2, 1927 in Delaware County, IN the daughter of Isaac and Lillian (Williamson) Reading.
She was a devoted mother and Christian who lived her life for her God and her family. She was a member of the Fall Creek Apostolic Church in Middletown, IN. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all her children and grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include three sons and six daughters, Lawrencene Thorpe (husband: Ben) of Muncie, IN; Sharon Ingram (husband: Roy) of Springport, IN; Scott Duncan of Muncie, IN; Connie Beal of Marion, IN; Jodie Bertram of Muncie, IN; Bonnie Kimbrough (husband: Kelly) of Anderson, IN; Rodney Duncan; David Beal; Lisa Brown (husband: Charles) all of Muncie, IN; four sisters, Lily York; Crystal Lipscomb (husband: Bob) both of Cammack, IN; Freda Harker (husband, Melvin) of Muncie, IN; Hilda Wagoner (husband: Theodore) of Dunkirk, IN; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rollie Guy Beal, one son Larry Duncan, one daughter Cynda Morris, three brothers, one sister.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday June 12, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Rev. Larry Neal will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Fall Creek Apostolic Church in memory of Vera Beal.
