Obituary

Vera Mae Wallace passed away at the age of 90, on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her residence in Kokomo, IN. She was born on August 9th, 1930 in Dunkirk, IN to the late Clarence Virgil Brenner and Rebecca Catherine (Elliot) Brenner.

Vera married George W. Wallace Jr on August 5, 1950. She was employed many years at Chatfield Paper and Mead Corporation. She was a very loving wife, mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt. She was always so appreciative of anything anyone would do for her.

She is survived by her one son, George W. Wallace lll of Hartford City, IN; daughters, Linda Kay Moody of Redkey, IN, Vickie Jo Ruble (spouse, Terry) of Kokomo, IN, Elizabeth Ann Wallace, Kokomo, IN, and Cynthia Jane McCray (spouse Skip) of Rochester, IN; brothers, Bob Brenner of Portland, IN, Tex Brenner of Hartford City, IN, and Russell Brenner of Ohio; sisters, Nancy C. Hobson of Muncie, IN, Anna Pearl Carll of Hartford City, IN, Mary C. Smith of Dunkirk, IN, and Betty Sargent of Millgrove, IN; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Virgil and Rebecca Catherine (Elliot) Brenner; husband, George W. Wallace Jr; six brothers, John, Jack, Fred, Tom, Joseph, and Sam Brenner; sisters, Barbara Jane Faulkner and Agnes W. Day; and two grandsons, Thomas and Aric Lannoy.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie IN. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM, also in the funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Glenn Greiner. Burial will follow in Gardens Of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, IN. Per Governor Holcomb, effective Monday, November 22, 2020, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 25 people wearing masks inside or outside.
