Verna Helen Stewart, 87, of Muncie, died Monday morning, March 13, 2017 at The Woodlands Nursing Home. She was born November 28, 1929 in Bledsoe, KY. And was the daughter of the late Noah and Alice (Fultz) Bailey.
Helen worked for the Delaware County Home as a Nursing Home Administrator for fifteen years. She retired from D & M in Connersville in 1990 after 8 years of service.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Donald L. Stewart of Muncie; a son Neal Creech (Cathie) of North Carolina; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a sister Faye Fellows of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Gordon Creech, an infant daughter Cathy Creech, four brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral Services for Helen will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
