Vina M. Hatfield of Albany, Indiana passed away at home at the age of 87 early Sunday morning, June 13, 2021. She was born on August 12, 1933 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Clifford Eley and Orlie Ethel (Arbogast) Mattox.
Vina graduated from Muncie Central High School and became a District Manager for The Star Press in Muncie, Indiana. She was a devout Penticostal Christian. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed playing euchre at the Senior Center.
Vina is survived by two sons, Barry Salyer (Amy) and Rodney Hatfield of Muncie, Indiana; three daughters, Kris Neal (Bill) of Albany, Indiana, Rhonda Hatfield of Muncie, Indiana, and Robin Hatfield of Muncie, Indiana; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Vina was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Eley and Olie Ethel (Arbogast) Mattox; her husband, Charles Hatfield; one daughter, Vianna Stump; one brother, Halbert Eley; and one sister, Norma June Surgener.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Ann Chambers. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
COVID-19 Limitations: Effective Monday, February 8, 2021, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 50 people wearing masks. Once the maximum is reached, additional visitors will be permitted for entry only as others exit. Again, masks are still required at both locations.
