Vinson Odell Caudill, age 93, passed away on October 29, 2024, in Muncie, Indiana. He was born on October 28, 1931, in Morehead, Kentucky, to James S. and Arsula Caudill. Vinson was a proud Navy veteran, serving his country from 1950 to 1954, before dedicating over 30 years to his work as a machine operator at General Motors.
He shared 65 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patsy (Little) Caudill. Vinson was an avid gardener, spending countless hours tending to his flowers and vegetable beds. He also loved to cook and was especially known for his delicious biscuits and gravy, a cherished treat for family and friends alike.
Gifted with his hands, Vinson even built the home where he and Patsy resided. A lover of music, he played the piano, accordion, and concertina, and held a special fondness for classical and Italian music.
Surviving Vinson, is his beloved wife, Patsy Caudill; daughters, Kimberly Medlin, Michele Caudill, and April Templin (husband, Christopher); brothers, Henry Caudill, Verlin Caudill (wife, Sheila), Carl Ray Caudill (wife, Pam); sister, Wynona Smith; grandchildren, Kyle Medlin, Isabella Hughes, and Hunter Hughes; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Hobie Marsh.
Vinson is preceded in passing by his parents, James S. and Arsula Caudill; brothers, Vernon Caudill and Marvin Caudill; sisters, Lou Caudill and Dottie Caudill; son-in-law, Michael Medlin; and sister-in-law, Cornelia Caudill.
Family and friends may call at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N St. Rd. 3, Muncie IN 47303, on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 from 11:00 - 12:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Garden View Funeral Home; online condolences can be made at www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com.
