Vivian Jo Ann Meadows Hatcher, 76, of Noblesville, and formerly of Selma, died Monday evening, August 12th, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services in Anderson. She was born January 21st, 1937 in Greensburg, IN and was the daughter of the late Loren Martin Sr. & Ruth Irene (Thomas) Conrad.
Vivian worked as a cook for 20 plus years at the Selma Middle School, she loved and enjoyed working the school basketball games. She enjoyed making crafts, gardening, boating, and was a huge animal lover. Vivian was employed with Twoson Tool & Die for 16 years prior to going to the Selma Middle School Cafeteria.
Vivian is survived by her two children, Vernon E. Meadows of Anderson and Vickie Strong (Merle) of Pendleton; two step-children, Tom Hatcher (Mary) of Selma, and Tammy Green (Tom) of Selma; four grandchildren, Tammi Fitzgerald (Casey) of Noblesville, Mandi Garner (Randy) of Sheridan , Natalie Cooper (Josh) of Selma, and Robert Shane Knight of Cowan; several great-grandchildren; a sister Betty Smith of Columbus, IN; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Meadows in 1978, daughter Vanessa Meadows in 1999, and a brother Loren Martin Jr. in 1978.
Funeral Services for Vivian will be held Thursday, August 15th, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor John Tyner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Thursday. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer''s Association, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
