Vontrice J. Brown, 90, passed away on Thursday,  November 3, 2022, at Willowbend Nursing Home. She was born August 19, 1932 in Russell Springs, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ota and Wilmorth "Hughes" Smith.

She had worked for Ball State University in dinnig services, retiring in 1995. She was a member of True Light Baptist Church.

She married Alvin Brown on Setember 23, 1950 and was married almost 44 years before his passing on February 8, 1994.

She is survived by her son: Michael Brown of Muncie, IN., daughter: Terri (Bradley) Conatser of Muncie IN., 9 grandchildren:, 21 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son Jerry Brown, 2 daughters Jonell Carr, Jackie Hancher and 1 grandson Nathan Kelly and 1 brother Carlie Smith.

Calling will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Garden View Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Service will be at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens Of Memory.
