Walter Raymond Schuster, 83, of Muncie died early Wednesday morning May 30th, 2012 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born August 16th, 1928 in Waterloo, IN and was the son of the late Frank Ernest & Lula (Kennedy) Schuster. Walter was very well known in the Muncie Community and active in the Kiwanis and various other activities. He had worked for various automobile dealerships in the area as a salesman. Walter and his late wife Patty owned and operated Schuster''s Decorating Den for 19 years. He is survived by his son John (Beverly) Schuster of Muncie; special friend Virginia Metro. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Carpenter) Schuster; a sister Mary Means and a brother Warren Schuster. Funeral Service for Walter will be held Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1400 West Riverside, Muncie, with Dr. Ronald L. Naylor officiating. Burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery in Portland. Friends may call Friday, June 1st, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Church. Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the organization of the donor''s choice.
